This item grants the user a license to use the Release 6.0 software for a HSSI FR 1-PORT card. Note that this does not include the right to upgrade to R6.0; separate upgrade fees apply.

This kit is used to upgrade a R1.3, R2.1,R2.2, or R2.3 OC3/STM1 to support release 3.0 and higher. NOTE: This kit is for cards on a 3x PCB platform only. All other cards must use the 90-4906-01 kit. Factory shipments of OC3/STM1 R2.3 and higher cards, 90-2188-2X/3X and 90-2305-2X/3X, ship with the memory module 2 installed and do not require this upgrade kit. This kit is used to: 1) Upgrade a R1.3, R2.1, or R2.2 DS3 ATM UNI/NNI card or Triple E3 ATM card to support release 2.3 and higher. Factory shipments of DS3/E3 R2.2 and higher cards, 90-2189-21/31/41 and 90-2294-21/31/41, ship with the memory module 2 installed and do not require this upgrade kit. 2) Upgrade a R1.3, R2.1,R2.2, or R2.3 OC3/STM1 to support release 3.0 and higher. The kit contains a memory module 2 (8 Megabytes), part number labels, and instructions for installation.

This optional module for the Control Card (90-4452-xx) provides system timing which can be derived from any line interface or BITS input (90-4451-01/03/04). This module has a wider capture range (+/- 50ppm) than the Stratum 3 SSU. Note, however, that this is not a Stratum 3 clock source. Stratum 3 timing requires part no. 90-6499-01. This part satisfies the Australian regulatory requirement for CPE devices as stated in TS016.

The power supply is for connecting to AC mains in either 3612, 3624, or 3630 rackmount, wallmount, desk top systems. The product comes with an integral ringer.
