The Extended ISL (X-ISL) Dual Switching Card is a scalable cell switching fabric card which provides the transmit interface for two 800 Mbps X-ISL links. The X-ISL Dual Receiver Card terminates the two corresponding X-ISL link receive interfaces. One to eight Dual Switching shelf to support from 1.6 Gbps to 12.8 Gbps fabric capacity. This card is delivered with R4.2 application software. X-ISL reach is 15km over customer supplied Single Mode Fiber. SMF cable requirements are: 9/125 micron core/claddind, 0.35 dB/Km attenunation at 1310nm, flat polish SC/SC connector.
