This kit is used to: 1) Upgrade a R1.3, R2.1, or R2.2 DS3 ATM UNI/NNI card or Triple E3 ATM card to support release 2.3 and higher. Factory shipments of DS3/E3 R2.2 and higher cards, 90-2189-21/31/41 and 90-2294-21/31/41, ship with the memory module 2 installed and do not require this upgrade kit. 2) Upgrade a R1.3, R2.1,R2.2, or R2.3 OC3/STM1 to support release 3.0 and higher. Factory shipments of OC3/STM1 R2.3 and higher cards, 90-2188-2X/3X and 90-2305-2X/3X, ship with the memory module 2 installed and do not require this upgrade kit. NOTE: Cards using 3x PCB's use the 90-4906-02 kit; See 90-4906-02 description for information on PCB identification. The kit contains a memory module 2 (8 Megabytes), part number labels, and instructions for installation.
