36SM DSP MF MOD Module provides compression of two 64 KBPS voice channels into either 8 Kbps or 16 KBPS voice channels C/W signalling. 8K or 16K mode is software selectable on an individual port basis. Also provides support for dual channel fax, ST-HCV and AC15 functionality on a single resource module. Can be inserted into any aggregate or tributary position. Requires 3612 Release 7.

36SM DSP VOFR/CELP MOD (G729) Module provides compression of two 64 KBPS voice channels into either 8 KBPS voice channel C/W signalling. Provided in this variant of module is VOFR or A CELP basic voice coding schemes support for end user applications. Can be inserted into any tributary module position. Requires 3612 Release 8 or higher.
