CTL TO INTEGRATED CTL CONVERT KIT The Control to Integrated Control conversion kit is used to convert a 7470 Control card to an Integrated Control card. The kit contains the password to enable the conversion and instructions for installation. This kit must be executed during an upgrade process prior to installing a release that is greater than Release 7. Integrated control software is mandatory for all 7470 systems operating above Release 7.0. The Integrated Control Card software required for the conversion is not included in this kit and must be obtained from the Alcatel TAC and TAC must be involved in any upgrade that requires this kit.

CTRL CARD T1/E1 APS The T1/E1 APS Control Card in combination with the I/F CARD T1/E1 APS (90-6345-02) and T1/E1 APS SHELF (90-6344-01) provides N:1 Automatic Protection Switching support for T1/E1 CE Cards on the 7470. Each T1/E1 Card serving as a protection card on the 7470 must be connected to an APS Control Card in the APS Shelf. The APS Control Card controls the relays on APS Interface Cards and allows multiple N:1 protection groups to be supported within the same T1/E1 APS Shelf.

Supported Line Cards include: T1 or E1 Frame Relay (90-7277-xx). This cable may also be used to connect one 16 port E1 line card to two 8 port E1 75 ohm Distribution Panels (90-6398-X1). DS3 CCE-2 3/1/0 3-PORT CE (NO MAU) clei The DS3 CCE-2 3/1/0 Circuit Emulation card performs the necessary operations to allow the transport of individual DSos, N*64k groups of DS0s, DS1s, or full DS3 circuits through an ATM network. DS3-2 ATM UNI/NNI W/CPU-2 CLEI This card may be used in 7470 MSP R6.0 - R9.1 or 7670 ESE R2.2 - R5.X systems.The DS3-2 ATM Card w/CPU-2 is a triple port card. Each port is either a UNI or NNI operating at 45Mbps. Each interface has dual coax BNC connectors with a range of 450 feet. The DS3-2 card is fully compliant to the mandatory requirements of the ATM Forum UNI specification (version 3.1). This DS3-2 card provides 4.5K connections per port, larger buffers, more service categories, substantially higher call processing capabilities and a Traffic Shaping Module position for support of the optional enhanced traffic management features. The Multi-Service Traffic Shaping Module (MTSM), 90-4724-01, is *NOT* supported on this card. The enhanced Traffic Management (eTM) module is supported and can be ordered as 90-7695-01. This card requires MAU 90-2322-02 for deployment in 7470 PS-2 shelf or MAU 90-7308-01 (DS3) for deployment in the 7670 ESE shelf. The 90-2322-01 and 90-7308-01 MAUs are not shipped with the DS3-2 card and each must be ordered separately. The DS3-2 card can be used in a 7670 ESE node with the appropriate adaptor card. DSC-1310/NSX clei The Dual Switching Card is a scalable cell switching fabric card which can terminate the transmit interface of up to two 800 Mbps ISL links. DUAL MAU This Dual MAU provides redundancy connectivity between adjacent pairs of redundant IP Services Cards (ISCs). The Dual MAU is mandatory to interconnect two adjacent ISC's running in 1+1 Redundancy mode. If the MAU is missing, the working card becomes active and the secondary ISC card is neither active nor providing redundancy. This Dual MAU is also used for redundant call processing cards on systems running non-integrated control software.

E1 8 PORT 120/75 COAX DIST.PNL The Bal/Unbal BNC Distribution Panel provides 8 external BNC interfaces to the 120 ohm E1 ports of an E1 card. It may be used with any of the following cards: 90-4671-x2 (E1 CR), 90-2541-x2 (E1 UFR), 90-2544-x2 (E1 CFR), 90-2517-x2 (E1 CE), 90-6351-x2 (E1 CR), 90-7277-x5 (16 port E1 FR) , 90-9729-x1 (16 port VoP), or 90-9169-01 (32 Port MS). A D78 cable (90-8269-01 for ESE and 90-2766-02/22 for 7470) connects the line card to the panel which provides a BNC connector for each port Tx and one for each port Rx. The panel is 1 vertical unit (VU) high rack-mountable device. This panel was changed in 2003 (PCN# 9541) to remove the grounding option in order to comply with the EU 2003 directive for EMC Class B emissions. The outer conductor is permanently tied to the chassis.

It may be used with any of the E1 cards (90-2541-x3 or 90-2544-x3). A D.78 cable connects the E1 card to the panel which provides a BNC connector for each port TX and one for each port RX. The panel is a 1 vertical unit (VU) high rack-mountable device. Grounding switches allow the service personnel to independantly ground any of the coaxial shields. This panel is shipped with 1VU mid-mount brackets.
